Ali
Ali is the charismatic owner and founder of North Finchley Tutors. His mission is to provide an immersive and inspiring tutoring experience at an affordable price.
Graduating from Kings College London, he knows exactly what it takes to pass entrance exams for some of the most prestigious schools in the UK.
People come from far and wide for his consulting in the education sector.

Sahand
Sahand is the centre manager and is a ball of sunshine. His smile never leaves his face and his key speciality is bringing the confidence out of children. Sahand has been working with NFT for more than two years and is the first port of call. Sahand is also the lead teacher of our online Hong Kong classes where he tutors children as young as 5 and doesn’t leave their side through every step of their 11+ journey!
Sahand’s favourite quote: “Why, sometimes, I’ve believed as many as six impossible things before breakfast.” from his adored book Alice in Wonderland; it sums him up perfectly, nothing is impossible!
Ambreen
Ambreen started her career in St Michael’s Catholic Grammar School where she enjoyed 13 glorious years and has spent the last 5 years working in the independent sector at Portland Place School so she is one of the most experienced 11 plus tutors in the UK.
Ambreen is an English specialist and is Head of Hybrid School now as well as a dynamic tutor at NFT. She leads our English team, particularly specialising in 11 plus creative writing. Students and parents adore her and she is a valued member of the NFT family.

Nikhil
“I’m the coolest teacher at NFT.” (Self proclaimed)
Nikhil is the Science and Maths guru at NFT where he predominantly teaches the GCSE classes. He has a great personal relationship with the students, getting the best out of their ability. Nikhil has been tutoring for more than years, consistently getting students the grades they desire. Nikhil has created a safe environment where students can openly ask questions and ask for help on difficult topics. You’ll always see a smile on Nikhil’s face and will go the extra mile!

Keanna
Keanna is a smiley and self-motivated tutor and Teaching Assistant. She aspires to teach individuals of their academic potential, to help them achieve their best in their learning and work. Keanna’s enthusiasm towards education and teaching flourished whilst studying a Biomedicine degree. She consistently looks forward to helping students in any way possible.
Keanna’s favourite quote: “It takes a big heart to help shape little minds.”
John
John is an experienced teacher who has taught Mathematics at several schools in the Greater London and Essex area. As well as teaching at North Finchley Tutors on Saturdays, he also tutors Key Stages 1-4 and teaches homeschool students Mathematics full-time.
John’s favourite quote: “Develop a passion for learning. If you do, you will never cease to grow.”
Nasrin
Nasrin’s reputation for professional excellence is exemplary. Personally and professionally she is recognised as the rock of the department, someone we can (and do) go to for support, advice and warmth. In the year Nasrin has plied her gift for teaching here, she has made an indelible impact on the lives of her tutees. This gift has also extended towards her colleagues and the wider school community, of which she is a significant part.

Zara
Zara loves a good fright. Gothic novels, horror movies and scream inducing rides on big, scary rollercoasters are just a few of her favourite things… She even lives by a graveyard! But there’s nothing scary about Zara’s teaching style, and at NFT you’ll be welcomed into her classroom with a Cheshire Cat smile and oodles of warmth! Zara has been teaching for the past twelve years and has worked in schools and colleges in the UK, Middle East and Indonesia. She has authored several books published by Hodder Education, but writing fiction remains her first love and she hopes one day to write a horror novel of her own.
Zara’s favourite quote: “Read a thousand books, and your words will flow like a river.”

Tutoring takes place in small groups and NFT tutors have clear objectives for your children in embedding the key educational requirements, and our methods in personalised tutoring fills a niche that often can’t be fulfilled by schools alone. Our tutors will spend time listening and building a relationship with all his or her students so that their strengths are maximised and any weaknesses taken into account and worked upon for the students benefit.
